Lifeguards Recieve Some Added Protection

The Vero Beach Lifeguard Association donated a sail shade to City of Vero Beach lifeguards to help protect them from the sun at their Humiston tower.  The SPF 50 shade is a welcomed addition to the site.  It will be hung over the boardwalk increasing the shaded area from which lifeguards can observe the beach.

Joint training exercise held for missing swimmers

The joint training helps different agencies work together smoothly and eliminates confusion when a real emergency arises, officials said.
